I'm have problems playing DVDs from my laptop lately. I was adviced I should update the DVD drive. How do I do that?

in good health go to the trellis site you bought the laptop from and download all the driver updates for your hardware
grasp a slimline laptop drive ... take out the screw or watever contained by the bottom ... slide it out ... change over any brackets to the contemporary one .... slide it in ... replace the screw ... boot into bios settup and nouns defaults .... done ...
You are kinda ambiguous on your problem. What kind of difficulty are you have, with what open-handed of laptop, did you try several dvd that you know work, what about a cd does it work?
