how do you turn past its sell-by date the touch wad on the compaq presario v5305wm?

my friend have this computer and he says that the brochure doesnt say. and that here is no button on the key board, and he couldnt find it within the device manager.

Answer:

disabling the touchpad can be achieve by pressing Fn + a function key (don't know which one it is on the Presario).

on enduring laptops it's Fn + F9 (on mine it's Fn + F10)
Why would he want to turn off the touch wad?

If you plug a mouse into the mouse port/usb port, then you don't enjoy to mess with the touch wipe - just cold-shoulder it.

There are usually touch pad settings contained by the control panel, which let you adjust the double-click speed, and the movement - at hand may be a place to disable it in at hand, but I doubt it.
