how does one charge their laptop freestyle to use it portably/on the road?

It's an HP laptop, and I hold a power extension to the wall, but how do I charge it to use it on the road?

Answer:

The battery-operated recharges the moment you plug the power extension to the wall...check the battery-operated meter on the laptop to see if it's fully recharged...remember battery go is only worthy for 1 - 1 1/2 hours depending on the battery and the laptop, that's why we other carry a spare.
If surrounded by a car, use a power inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter plug. Example is shown at the below knit.
Stores like Wal-Mart, etc. supply a product that plug into your cigarette lighter in your sports car and in turn you can plug contained by a normal (2 or 3-prong) cord into it.
A couple of option:

You can purchase a 12v invertor that will plug into your car's power connection or cig lighter port. The invertor will convert your car's 12v power to a standard 110v household outlet. Then you plug your laptop power nouns into that. They're about $50 and are nearly the size of a paperback.

You can purchase a special power adapter from HP or other manufacturers that will plug directly into your car's power nouns or cig lighter. They can vary contained by price depending on your laptop.

I did a quick rummage online and found that BestBuy, Circuit City, and RadioShak all get rid of them.
