How does the Toshiba Satellite A100/Q03 rate as a laptop?

I'm thinking of purchasing this laptop (PSAA8A-1HQ03R), and am wondering if empire have have a positive or negative experience next to it.

It has an Intel Core Duo Processor T2250 1.73GHz

512MB memory (DDR2)

60GB not easy drive

DVD burner

15.4 widescreen

Bluetooth

Windows XP Pro (I'm not an avid Vista fan however.)

It retails at $1076 AUS. Is this a good price? Any hiccups next to this laptop? And how is Toshiba's reputation? Thanks.

Answer:

firstly u deserve some applause for doing some homework

win xp choice is a wise one & 512 mb is polite enuf for normal applications

i would prefer to obtain 512 mb in single slot & not 256 + 256 mb, to go away one slot vacant

> that style u have memory upgrade leeway open at a subsequently date, should u need it

processor > appropriate

brand toshiba > good & dependable

singular one comment i would like to add on is checkout a 14.1 screen notebook, besides the 15.4 eyeshade notebook

i mean compare them side by side

effect a 15.4 is pretty heavy to pushcart around

best of luck & computing !
That is a good laptop, however, I would fashion sure you get a immensely good graphics solution within that laptop as in the effective future copious software companies are going to be ramping up on graphics to keep up next to microsoft.

Doodad
how to value
