I hold a VAIO laptop which runs on Windows XP. I was gone for a while and i consent to somebody else use my laptop during that time. Before i left, my laptop would hibernate merely find. When i came backbone and i tried to put my laptop in hibernation mode but it wouldn't. It started to budge into hibenation, but as soon as it did it would just turn subsidise on, now it solitary does this. I tried changing the Hibernation option, i disable it and then see it back on, but it still turns support on when it hibernates. Does any one know how to fix it.
Answer:
ahhh....this happen all the time. With me it is any one of these:
1. You need a brand new battery. (You obligation a certain amount of power)
2. Your memory and/or easier said than done drive is your problem. (Check it out. You know when you hibernate it puts all your memory on disk.
3. You enjoy a multi boot and your laptop doesn't know what to boot to. (If so, have the time out choice on)
Hope that helps
I don't know if this will sustain, but if it were me the subsequent thing I'd do would be to rob my laptop back to a "restore point" merely prior to letting your friend use it. See if that helps.
Go to your Control Panel, later to Performance and Maintenance. You should see an option to revert to a elected restore point.
reinstall the 'chipset' drivers, which you will find on the sony website for your laptop.
Check your power timing. You might have a screensaver (or something that runs contained by the background, similar to google desktop indexing) run the same time as your hibernation point.
