The fastest road is to go to Explorer, right click on the drive (e.g. "C:") and choose "Format...". This leaves adjectives partition information intact, but delete all of the record entries from the DET (directory entry table) so that the file sector appear to be available. When new files are written, adjectives of the old information get overwritten and wiped out.
